Are You a Candidate for Neurotoxin Treatment?

Botox, Juveau, Xeomin

Neurotoxin treatments are most popularly known as Botox, but they can also include several other products that may be the right choice for you. They can be a good option if you are in good health but want to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and lines on your face. These treatments work by blocking or relaxing nerve impulses to facial muscles, so they can treat wrinkles caused by facial expressions such as frowning, squinting and smiling.

You should know that the results are not permanent. They will fade with time, but you can schedule follow up treatments as needed to maintain results long term. Neurotoxin injections are safe and reliable when performed by qualified providers. Side effects are rare and typically mild. They may include short-lived injection-site bruising, redness, pain, minor swelling, numbness, or headache.

You are not a candidate for treatment if you have allergies to any of the ingredients, if you have any nerve or muscular disorders, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

You will typically see results within 2-3 days. Your frown lines will start to soften and fade. Your best results will appear around the 2 week point after your treatment. You will have a follow up visit at that time to evaluate your results. Results will last anywhere from 3-6 months based on the product used, and on how fast your body metabolizes the ingredients. Please reach out to schedule a consultation for additional information, to see if treatment is right for you, and for answers to all of your questions. We look forward to meeting with you.

When Will You See Results?

What Downtime Needs to be Taken?

There is very little downtime.

We ask that you avoid alcohol or any hair removal treatments near the treatment areas for 24 hrs prior. Afterwards, you can immediately resume your normal activities, though we do suggest that you keep your head elevated for 2-3 hours following treatment. The neurotoxin can migrate to nearby muscles and weaken them in rare cases, so avoid touching the treatment sites or doing any strenuous activities for 24 hours. You will be given additional information and instructions at your consultation, but there is virtually no recovery time.
